The Most Anticipated Netflix Exclusives Coming Next Month

Aside from Betway, Reddit, and social media in general, Netflix is one of the best things that can happen to your smartphone. The service has a massive library of content that you can watch for hours upon hours without ever repeating, content from all over the world. Among the most attractive pieces of content, you find quite a few “originals”, programming made exclusively for Netflix. Each month, the service adds a handful of these to its offering – and some of them are quite attractive and worthy of your attention. Here are all the best Netflix exclusives coming out next month.

Stranger Things (Season 3) – July 4th

Many more people love retro science fiction horror than political drama – this is probably why it was Stranger Things and not House of Cards that pushed many to subscribe to Netflix in the first place. This year, the time has come for viewers to return to Hawkins and face another horrific creature in the Duffer brother’s latest creation.

The third season of the series will have eight, hour-long episodes written by the Duffer brothers themselves, Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum), and Uta Briesewitz, who has worked on series like “The Defenders” and “Altered Carbon”.

Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya – July 19th

This one will be great news for anime lovers: the manga “Saint Seiya” is finally returning into the world of anime. The story will follow the manga’s “Galaxian Wars” arc, focusing on Seiya, a warrior who becomes a “Saint” – a mythical warrior bearing an armor worn by the fighters of the Greek goddess Athena.

The “Knights of the Zodiac” adaptation was in the works for almost two years – this summer, it will finally hit the screens.

Kengan Ashura – July 31st

Another new anime to hit the service is “Kengan Ashura”, about a fighter named Tokita Ohma who has to fight on behalf of a business mogul called Nogi Hideki in the ancient Arenas that have been around for centuries. The combat is unarmed but brutal, and the winner takes all.

Designated Survivor: 60 Days (TBA)

“Designated Survivor” was an American political thriller starring Kiefer Sutherland as the “designated survivor” (a person that is kept away from the cabinet’s public appearances to survive in the event of a terrorist attack) who ends up becoming the President of the United States after the rest of the cabinet is killed in an explosion.

In a bit of an unusual move, the US series was adapted to Korean TV, and it is set to be released this summer: Designated Survivor: 60 Days tells the same story but in South Korea’s reality.
